The Student Ministry strategy of Village is very simple - teach less for more. By teaching less "stuff", we feel as though we are able to teach with a high level of clarity and excellence. Students are expected to hear, process, and know an incredible amount of information in any given week. It is because of this overload that we have taken measures to reduce our flow of information to six biblical principles that cover three areas of development and are repeated twice during a calendar year. As we teach the Bible to students through these six principles, the truths they receive become more relatable and applicable to them for real life situations.
Using the Known discipleship curriculum, you can expect your teenager to hear the following principles; lordship, discipline, character, discernment, relationships and influence. Through these principles we desire for students to know God, own their faith and make their faith known.
