Pastoral Care

PASTORAL CARE

“Who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4

BENEVOLENCE

The Village benevolence ministry exists to help those in need to understand God’s principles by supplying emotional, spiritual, and physical aid to our church family and within our community. We distribute donated funds and donated items to help those that God sends to us for assistance.

VISITATION

The visitation program allows Village to minister to those in homes, extended care facilities, hospitals, and jail. Anyone needing encouragement, comfort or a sense of belonging will benefit from the Visitation Ministry as they are reminded individuals that they are not forgotten by their church family.

DIVORCE CARE

At Divorce Care, you will find a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone; come find help and healing.

Time: Wednesdays, 6:00 PM, Room 2214

WIDOW CARE

The Bible is replete with commands to take care of widows, especially widows within the church. In Acts 6, certain widows were being neglected in the church, so deacons were elected to fix the problem. The deacons at Village have developed a system of meeting the needs of widows. Each widows is assigned to a deacon, who is responsible for helping the widow in any way. If you are a widow, or know a widow in need, please contact the church office at (850) 837-8107 or villageinfo@villagebaptist.org.
