“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

I was born into a Baptist and very musical family in Central Florida.  My father was Music Minister at FBC Bartow and my mother was the pianist.  So there I was (with my older brother) running around our church at every service and event on the calendar.  When I was eight, I really began to ponder what it meant to be a Christian and whether or not I was ready to make the decision to follow Christ.  As you have probably guessed, I did make that most important decision and had the privilege of being baptized by my father.  Since then, I have had mountain top experiences and experiences at the bottom of the valley, but I have always trusted in the Lord to bring me through.

In 2012, at the age of 24, the Lord called me to leave the area in which I had spent my entire life to attend The Baptist College of Florida to study music.  During my time at BCF, I learned a lot about music and worship leadership but really found my niche with the audio/visual department.  I took on a part time job at the school which involved running sound and video for BCF’s three weekly chapel services, performances, and other events.  Although I had sung or played in church nearly my entire life, I really fell in love with being behind the scenes and making it all happen.

In 2014, I met my beautiful wife Kayla, who is from Niceville, while we attended BCF and in December of 2015, I graduated from The Baptist College of Florida with a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Worship Leadership.  Within six months, Kayla was graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies, we were engaged, and I was working here at Village as Director of Media/Publications.  God has blessed me beyond anything I could have imagined and I am thankful for this opportunity to serve and grow here at Village.

My hope for Village is that we can reach all ages in the communities of Destin and the surrounding areas with new mediums of technology in order to engage them in worship and service, teaching them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and growing them into spiritual maturity.
