Sermon Notes

Life is often compared to a race. As we have discovered it is not just a five miler but more like a marathon. Today, you will be challenged as a follower of Christ to truly run the race that matters. In order to do that you have to have a plan and then give you total life to the plan...God’s plan.

"Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead..." Philippians 3:13 (NASB)

ACCEPT GOD'S STRATEGY

CONNECT WITH GOD'S SYNERGY

TAP INTO HIS ENERGY
"...let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Today you are challenged to not only pin the number on but cross the plane of the starting line and join the race! I want to challenge you from God's Word to go the distance, to finish strong, to run the race with Village Baptist Church. It will be the greatest race of your life.
