Courage is something which most of us lack–especially in the face of opposition. It’s easy to talk of having courage, but it is another matter altogether to have it at the moment of need. We lack courage to admit our weaknesses and call out for help. Today, Dr. Davies will explain how to grab hold of courage and discover the ultimate in a life makeover. |
Mark 10:46-52 1. RATE YOUR SPACE
Rating your space is looking within so as to recognize your greatest needs.
• PHYSICAL
"‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him. The blind man said, ‘Rabbi, I want to see.’" Mark 10:51 (NIV)
• SPIRITUAL
"And even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake." 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 (NIV)
2. GO TO THE MASTER DESIGNER
• SHOW YOUR STUFF
"When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’" Mark 10:47 (NIV)
• RECOGNIZE AUTHORITY
3. BE READY FOR ACTION
"‘Go,’ said Jesus, ‘your faith has healed you.’ Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road."
Mark 10:52 (NIV)
• COME
• THROW
4. AGREE WITH GOD’S DESIGN
Courage is the most beautiful of all human expressions. Courage, as I see it, is "an act in the face of fear." We only need courage when we are afraid, which means that we need courage almost all the time, because we are afraid of something all the time. |
