We know that all of our stuff is God’s stuff, but how does that practically play out in our lives? This message brings home the spiritual reality that a major aspect of honoring God relates to how we manage and allocate the tangible blessings He has given us. |
DON’T GIVE IT, BRING IT IN FAITH
"Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether man or animal." Exodus 13:2
DON’T GIVE IT, BRING IT TO THE PROPER PLACE
"The first of the firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God." Exodus 23:19 (NKJV)
"In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD." Genesis 4:3
DON’T GIVE IT, BRING WHAT BELONGS TO GOD
"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." Proverbs 3:9-10
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse–the whole nation of you–because you are robbing me." Malachi 3:8-9
"‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’" Malachi 3:10
"I the LORD do not change." Malachi 3:6
"Now about the collection for God’s people: do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income..." 1 Corinthians 16:1-2
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:21
"‘Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty." Malachi 3:10 |
