Sermon Notes

The Bible says that the name of the Lord is to be praised. However, we cannot worship His name without first knowing His name. In this message, we will look at the different names for God found in the Bible, the significance behind each one, and how each of them can draw us into a more meaningful relationship with Him.

ELOHIM – CREATOR

EL SHADDAI – GOD ALMIGHTY

ADONAI – LORD

JEHOVAH – "I AM"

"Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them? God said to Moses, ‘I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’" Exodus 3:13-14

Jehovah Jireh – The Lord Is My Provider

"He said to his servants, ‘Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.’" Genesis 22:5
