Sermon Notes
|
We live in a world of worship. God has woven the desire for worship into the very fabric of our lives. But many of us worship the wrong things—from clothing to careers to sports to sex. God, though, wants our worship to be a clear reflection of our intense passion for Him. As we worship God in everything we do, we become a mirror image of Him. |

“It is finished.” John 19:30
WORSHIP IS HAVING A PASSION FOR GOD’S FASHION
The Bible Is A Mirror
“Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it-he will be blessed in what he does.” James 1:23-25
“All things were created by Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
WORSHIP IS COMPREHENSIVE
WORSHIP IS COMPETITIVE
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.” Acts 17:24-27
“Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.” Matthew 4:10
WORSHIP IS CONTINUOUS
“…every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Romans 14:11 (KJV) |
