Sermon Notes
5 FRIGHTENING FACTS 1. Everyone Is Not Going To Heaven "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it." Matthew 7:13 (NIV) Heaven and Hell Are Both Gated Communities 2. More People Will Go To Hell Than Heaven "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14 (NIV) "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 (NIV) 3. Many Who Think They Are Christians Aren’t "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you.’" Matthew 7: 21-23 (NIV) "By their fruit you will recognize them." Matthew 7:16 (NIV) "You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder." James 2:19 (NIV) "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?" 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV) Faith Alone Saves Yet Faith That Saves Is Never Alone 4. You Will Not Get Another Opportunity After You Die "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) 5. This Could Be Your Last Chance "Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’" Luke 13:25 (NIV) |
