INEED2CHANGE
We all have something in our lives we would really like to change. It is pretty easy to identify it and want it. To bring about change is something altogether different. In a nutshell, we can’t change; well, not on our own. We need help, direction and hope to see real change in our lives. Today we will look to the real source of change, the catalyst of change. Learning to tap into this source develops in us the ability to begin the metamorphosis of change that will last.

CONFESSION
"When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’–and you forgave the guilt of my sin."
Psalm 32:3-5 (NIV)
"If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Word has no place in our lives."
1 John 1:6-10 (NIV)
REPENTANCE
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing and perfect will."
Romans 12:2 (NIV)
OBEDIENCE
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."
Galatians 5:25 (NIV) |
