Sermon Notes

Romans 12:1-13

Humility is a quality or characteristic ascribed to a person who is considered to be humble. The word "humility" is derived from the Latin word "humilis," which means low, humble and from earth. A humble person is generally thought to be unpretentious and modest: someone who does not think that he or she is better or more important than others. God’s Word speaks to every need of humanity, and one of these needs is humility. Today as we continue to prepare for ineed2change, we will dig into the concept of humility.

1. Humility is the disposition of the mind of Christ.

(Romans 12:3)

• Self - Admiration

• Self - Condemnation

• Self - Denial

2. Humility is the discipline of the mind of Christ.

(Romans 12:3)

• Identity - Relationship (Romans 12:4-5)

• Identity - Stewardship (Romans 12:6-8)

• Identity - Fellowship (Romans 12:9)
