John 8:31-36
When we have been identified appropriately with Jesus in discipline, discernment and devotion, there is a responsibility that emerges for every true follower of Christ Jesus. Note what Jesus tells those who will follow after Him: "If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you." John 8:31-32 (MSG)
There are three big words in relation to responsibility:
1. CONTINUE
In Truth (John 8:14)
The Whole Truth (John 8:31)
Nothing but the Truth (John 8:31)
2. OBEY
Mind (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Heart (Romans 6:17-18)
Will (Luke 22:42)
3. EXPERIENCE
Freedom
• Personally (John 8:36)
• Literally (John 8:32)
• Spiritually (Romans 8:2) |
